Bolts Don't Show Up: TB 2 - FLA 6

In a game the Lightning are expected, and need to win, they failed to show up, and were pounded by the Panthers 6-2. The Bolts gave up two goals in the first six minutes of the game, the first by Nathan Horton, and the second just :22 later by Olli Jokinen. "I've never seen that in my 28 years," Holmqvist said. "I've never played a game and not stopped a shot." Tortorella pulled Holmqvst in favor of Marc Denis, who was solid until late. "I thought Marc came in to make some good saves to keep us around," Lightning coach John Tortorella said. "I think the most important goal was that third goal." The Lightning seemed to settle down in the Second, and were able to get back in the game on a goal by Nolan Pratt, his first of the year. From there, however, it was down hill. The Lightning gave up another 4 goals, getting out hustled, out hit and out shot. Vinny Prospal netted the Bolts second goal late in the third period. The loss left the Lightning only 2 points up on Atlanta heading into their Canadian swing. The Bolts next 4 games will take them to Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto.
