Doubts in NJ?

Seems Jersey fan is a bit worried these days, and for good reason. Marty the Great has been beaten. "We knew (the Lightning) were gifted offensively, and I think they exposed us a little bit scoring six goals in the two games," Brodeur said.

A little bit? This years probable Mr. Vezina has been lit up in 2 games. Vinny has gotten to him 3 times, Marty twice, and they knew that line was what drives this team, but they still haven't been able to stop them. Whether they are together or they're split, they're two players you have to be aware of and watch," Lamoriello said. That's all the Devils have been doing, watching the duo skate past them and score.

The Devils have only had a small taste of the offense the Bolts can produce. If they stay out of the box, and stay clean on the the turnover front, I would be surprised if this series didn't head back to Jersey with the Bolts up 3-1.

The Devs are as good on the road as they are at home. In the past month they've been even better on the road than at home. The bolts are one-dimensional with one line doing the lion's share of your scoring. The devs made a mistake not checking vinny harder in game 2 and it cost them. Please don't expect Lou to make the same mistake for the whole series.

Tortorella has a history od being fickle with his goaltenders and undermining their confidence. Other than that, he's a quality coach who will also make adjustments as the series progresses. I wouldn't be surprised to see this come back to Jersey tied 2-2. Either way, I'm just happy that it is coming back to Jersey at all - it means I get to go to more home games!

I bet that last one was fun. I know that I would have enjoyed it. Don't forget that we are now 4-2 on the season. If that was a post-season series you'd be out. It's only a matter of time. Keep up the analysis. You're doing fine.

In case you missed it, our goalie isn't lacking any confidence, in fact, he outplayed the great Brodeur last game. Torts has instilled confidence in his netminder and team heading into the post season. Dropping Denis was part of that, now Holmer has no reason to lookover his shoulder. Ramo is only there in case of emergency. You want to talk about a confidence crusher, how about you GM fiiring your coach just before playoffs saying that you aren't playing good enogh? As for scoring, we have one of the best offensive defensemen in the league still looking to get going, a Conn Smythe winner just warming up, and a Hart Trophy winner on fire. I'd say we're in pretty good shape.

HOLMER - HE HAS GAINED CONFIDENCE, BUT HE'S NOT QUITE THERE YET. DEFINITE FUTURE, WON'T ARGUE THAT.
FIRING JULIEN DIDN'T HAVE MUCH OF AN EFFECT ON THE TEAM, YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT IT WOULD. BUT LOU IS LOU AND GOD IN JERSEY.
YOU HAVE THE BEST OFFENSE OUT THERE AND IF IT CAN'T BE THE DEVILS TAKING THE CUP, I'LL BE ROOTING (ONCE AGAIN) FOR TAMPA. BUT UNTIL THEN, WE ARE THE DEVILS AND I BELIEVE THAT WE CAN DO IT IN 6. IF OUR FIRST LINE CAN STEP IT UP TONIGHT, MAYBE IN 5!

Mark, everyone who knows hockey knows that in the playoffs, the regular season is out the window. That's why a 7 seed can hang with a 2 seed and an 8 seed can get all the way to the finals.

If they counted the regular season it'd be 4-2. Well, they don't Mark. Your "didn't win nothin', don't mean nothin'" regular season series victory means about the same thing as the banner you'll hoist in its honor. There's no banner for winning the regular season series, Mark. It's 1-1 and I like The Devils' chances.

That's why they play the games.

This time I had a really good time at the game. If I were you, I'd stay anonymous. That's 5-2 on the year :)
