Game Recap: TB 6 - ATL 2

Vinny Prospal had 2 goals, and what seemed like everyone else had one too, as the Bolts beat the Thrash silly Saturday night. Prospal opened the scoring in the first, and Chris Gratton followed. The Bolts took a 2-1 lead into the second, The Thrash was lucky to only trail 2-1 after the first, as they were outshot 17-2.

The second was more of the same for the Bolys. Marty St. Louis and Mathieu Darsche scored just 39 seconds apart. That flurry followed a Vinny Lecavalier breakaway goal to open the second period scoring. The Lightning took a 5-1 lead into the locker room after two periods.

Instead of lying back and playing not to lose, the Bolts continued to forecheck, and pressure Atlanta. Prospal scored his seventh goal of the season during a power play in the third, and the Bolts finished the contest with an impressive 6-2 win. The Bolts are now 4-2 on the season and 3-1 in the division.
