Rumour Update
Not that there's much to tell.
The usual suspects are still on the board; Boyle, Prospal, Gratton and Holmer. Boyle is an interesting case to watch. It is being reported that the Lightning are working with his agent to get a new deal done.
Apparently the soon to be new owners, OK Hockey, want to keep Boyle along with the Big 3. Not sure what that will mean. Have they given the "OK" to sign him at what is expected to be around $6.5 to 7 million. It is expected the cap will to rise between $52-55 million. That would put your top 4 players at about $27 million. leaving about the same amount to round out the team. Add a #1 goalie at about $5-#6 million, and the financial squeeze is on again.
Soooo will they actually sign him or is this just going to buy time over the next two weeks to see just what the Lightning can get for Boyle. Stay tuned...
